Warm Audio WA-87

A classic made affordable!

The classic '87 is probably the most widely used large-diaphragm condenser microphone in popular recording history. Rather than base our WA-87 circuitry on the current incarnations of this microphone, we have decided to closely follow the early circuit designs that date back almost half a century. As is common with many classic microphones, engineers who have worked with different versions of these microphones often prefer the warmer, more yielding nature of earlier commercially available models. The WA-87 was inspired by the desire to revive the warm sound of this classic microphone at an affordable price for a whole new generation of media.
