Headphone Amplifier

The Lake People G111 MkII has an internal power supply with toroidal transformer and oversized filter capacitors, so that no interference or humming noises from the mains are to be expected, it works with 4 transistors per amplifier train and a very high supply voltage of 60V, which provide for extremely fine resolution with simultaneously flat frequency response, very good noise values and a first-class headroom. Accordingly, the G111 MkII provides an exceptionally high output power at the headphone output, which is absolutely adequate for headphones of all types, and transmits frequencies from 5Hz up to an impressive 150kHz with almost perfect linearity. To prevent switch-on noise at the headphones, which could possibly damage their sensitive capsule, the outputs at the G111 are switch-on delayed by relays.
