Black Lion B172A

The combination of the two different compressor types of the Black Lion Audio B172A in one housing makes the popular dynamic chain more compact, while maintaining the flexibility of the individual units. A central switch can be used to determine in which order the input signal should pass through the compressors. A third switch option allows the two sections to be used as separate units to process different signals through the FET and opto-compressors, or to add another unit to the chain.

This flexibility allows the mode of operation of the B172A to be precisely adapted to the situation at hand, thus perfectly optimising the sound, which is further refined by high-quality components from input and output transformers to the coupling capacitors.
