With its compact dimensions, the Genelec 8010 is the ideal active monitor for computer workstations, broadcast and OB van applications and mobile recording.

The robust die-cast aluminium housing is acoustically optimised. The rounded edges of the housing ensure a precisely balanced stereo image. The drivers are protected by grids. The threaded holes and matching wall and ceiling brackets facilitate flexible mounting.

The two Class-D amplifiers of the Genelec 8010 deliver a clear and neutral sound even at high volumes. The optimised bass reflex tuning enables a surprisingly good bass reproduction for the small size.

Switchable filters allow the active monitor to be adapted to its installation location. The frequency response is linearised. The IsoPod stand decouples the loudspeaker from the ground and allows the alignment to the listening position.

There is an automatic on and off function. It can also be deactivated if required. For 2.1 systems, the Genelec 7040 subwoofer offers an extension of the frequency range up to 30 Hz.
