Genelec 8040BPM

The Genelec 8040 is a studio monitor for music production, post-production and broadcast. It enables fatigue-free listening and objective mixing with a clearly defined bass response.

The loudspeaker is made of die-cast aluminium and is therefore low-resonance and stable. The drivers are protected by grilles.  Rounded edges of the housing and the sound conduction ensure an optimal spatial imaging and a wide listening zone. The bass reflex construction ensures precise and deep bass reproduction down to 41 Hz.

The Genelec 8040 offers high level reserves. With its two low-distortion 90 W output stages it achieves a sound pressure level of 105 dB. It is therefore also suitable for medium-sized rooms up to around 30 m². Switchable filters are available for adaptation to the installation.

Threaded holes and matching accessories facilitate wall or ceiling mounting. The Genelec 8040 has an automatic on/off function that can be deactivated if required.

Suitable subwoofers are the Genelec 7360 or 7370.
