Orientation and instant visual feedback

All the information you need in the right place at the right time: the two high-resolution colour displays show everything you need to know about sounds and projects, backlit function buttons vary in brightness depending on their status, and the precise Light Guide signals the positions of sounds, scales, chord tones, zones, switches, and more.

Find your sounds faster

Finding the right sounds in a gigantic sound library is not only exhausting, but also time-consuming. With the convenient and intuitive tagging system, you can browse your KOMPLETE and Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) instruments using keywords to find exactly the sounds you're looking for - right from the hardware. And previewing is built into the browser, so there's no need to load instruments.

Need a hip-hop kit? Choose Drums > Urban Drum Kit > Sample-based, scroll through the preset list and pick the perfect kit for your track. And if you particularly like the kit, save it as a favourite.

Mapped and ready to go

All your KOMPLETE and NKS instruments and effects have been fully prepared for use with KOMPLETE KONTROL hardware by the people who know it best - the instrument designers themselves. The most important settings are loaded immediately and appear on the two displays - arranged logically and comprehensibly on several pages. Whether kHz, dB or BPM: when you change parameters, you can follow everything on the displays - in real time.Playing like a pro

The Light Guide informs you about the current key or mode at any time. When you activate Chord Mode, individually played notes become chords and harmonies. Then the integrated arpeggiator transforms single notes into varied and lively tone sequences. And for all beginners, Easy Mode assigns all white keys to any key, so you never play a wrong note.

Pitch, mod and lots of expression

The ergonomically designed, rubberised pitch and mod wheels give you high-precision control. And the ultra-touch-sensitive Touch Strip virtually eliminates the need for a pedal.

Closer to your workflow

KOMPLETE KONTROL gives you access to the transport, mixing and editing functions of Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, Cubase, Nuendo and GarageBand, including visual feedback and volume control via the keyboard's own displays. You can easily add other devices to your setup via MIDI In/Out.

Ableton Live 10 Lite is included with the keyboard. So you can start producing right away.

Integration for all instruments and effects

NKS offers easy-to-use integration with hundreds of instruments and effects from leading manufacturers such as Heavyocity, Spitfire and Waves. The expanded plug-in format allows developers to prepare their products for use with NI hardware so that features such as tag-based browsing, the Light Guide and pre-configured mappings now work with countless instruments outside the KOMPLETE universe. For VST instruments that have not yet been retrofitted for NKS, custom mappings can be easily created using the KOMPLETE KONTROL software.
