Novation's flagship synthesiser with two multiparts, 16x polyphony & 61-key keyboard!... more

Novation Summit

Novation's flagship synthesiser with two multiparts, 16x polyphony & 61-key keyboard!

The New Oxford digital oscillators in Summit offer subtractive, FM and wavetable synthesis, feeding true analogue filter, distortion and VCA sections. Summit's multi-timbral engine allows you to combine two completely independent patches, with up to 16 simultaneously usable voices creating the harmonic depth for the richest pads.

The best sounding synthesizer ever from Novation
Summit doubles the power of Peak's New Oxford digital oscillators to up to 16x polyphony, spread across two multiparts. It also adds a host of new features and a top-notch five-octave keyboard.
This synthesiser is much more than the sum of its parts. It gives even the most demanding producers and live artists the power they need to create and play impressive basses, leads, arpeggios, pads, effects and other sounds.

Completely hands-on control in sound shaping
Summit takes Peak's technical architecture and way of working to new heights. You'll find a range of additional controls on the interface, giving you even faster access to FM functions, effects, LFOs and more. There are also dual filters with six low, high and bandpass combinations, audio inputs for processing external signal sources via the internal effects and a complementary pair of outputs.

Analogue core competence

The analogue stereophonic signal path features dual multimode filters, analogue VCAs and three-stage analogue distortion - before and after the filter, and after the VCA. With roots in the legendary OSCar and Bass Station II, the Summit's analogue ingredients are truly impressive.

Two peaks in one synthesiser and more
The 16-voice, multi-timbral sound generation allows the simultaneous use of two patches. Spread the sounds side by side on the keyboard, stack them on top of each other or work with two completely independent synthesiser units, for example by using one part as a pure effects processor for an external sound source. Of course, Summit can read all your peak patches.

Novation's best keyboard yet
Lightly weighted, velocity-sensitive 5-octave keyboard with aftertouch. This is the same top-of-the-line keyboard you'll find in the Novation SL MkIII controller.

New Oxford finish
Novation`s Digital New Oxford oscillators are capable of subtractive, FM and wavetable synthesis. Waveforms are generated directly by the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) chip, which operates at a clock speed of 24 MHz in bitstream mode. It allows with controllable drift and deviation to simulate instabilities that are characteristic of analogue circuits and often desirable because of their resulting liveliness.

True analogue filters and distortion ranges
The New Oxford oscillators feed real analogue filters that have their origins in the legendary OSCar synthesizer. In addition, there is a three-stage analogue distortion section that provides plenty of possibilities for creating saturation.

Double Filter
Summit's double filter can be switched between six 12 dB combinations of low, high and band-pass characteristics, as well as 24 dB/octave operation, giving you a wide range of sounds.

Tackling sound design
Plenty of modulation sources for complex sonic journeys - LFOs, envelopes, Animate buttons and more. Advanced controls include.
FM parameters, envelope loop mode switches and LFOs 3/4, which have been transferred from Peak's menu to Summit's control surface for faster access.

Audio Input and Aux Output
Add external instruments that you can process via the built-in effects section, while still using Summit as a synthesiser.

Powerful effects
The built-in reverb, chorus and delay effects are also calculated via the FPGA. They are controlled directly from the control panel and are directly interwoven with the sound generation via a dedicated FX modulation matrix as modulation destinations.

A synthesizer for professional & semi-professional musicians looking for an inspiring & powerful instrument for live & studio use!
