Special microphone for broadcast studios and professional speakers

The "Broadcaster" is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with cardioid characteristic, which was developed especially for speech transmission and recording. RØDE's hi-end large-diaphragm "HF-2" is used as a capsule - installed horizontally, the microphone is talked about from the front. An internal pop-protector is located under the speaking basket, which effectively defuses explosive consonants. If necessary, a softly gripping high-pass filter (75 Hz, 6 dB/octave) can be activated, which works perfectly without eliminating the sonority so important for speakers.

Incidentally, the sound characteristics of the broadcaster already correspond very closely to the "commercial" sound one is used to from radio and advertising, even without any post-processing. Controlled accordingly, the "on-air" LED mounted on the body signals the speaker that he or she is on air. With 14 dBA the inherent noise is absolutely harmless. Normally the LED on the body lights up as soon as the broadcaster is supplied with phantom power. If, on the other hand, the enclosed 5-pin XLR socket is soldered in, the LED can be supplied with the corresponding "on-air" switching signals via pins 4 and 5.

Included in delivery are the microphone holder RM2, a 5-pin XLR female and a corresponding XLR male connector as well as the transport case ZP1. The Broadcaster is manufactured by RØDE in Australia, registered users receive a 10 year warranty.
