Dynamic USB speaker microphone

With the "Podcaster" you get a professional USB microphone with a heavy metal housing (610 g) and a dynamic cardioid capsule, which is perfectly tuned to speech. The capsule is mounted horizontally, the podcaster is discussed from the front.

With the Podcaster, speakers sound convincingly "commercial" from a standing position, just as one is used to from professional radio stations and advertising jingles. The pop filter integrated in the basket effectively defuses explosive consonants without impairing transparency - the use of an external pop shield is not necessary.

An audio interface with preamp, digital converters and adjustable headphone amplifier is integrated in the podcaster. The connection to the computer is done with the included USB cable, no driver installation is necessary, the microphone or its audio interface is immediately recognized by the computer (Mac or PC). The direct signal (latency-free) and the USB stream are output from the computer via the adjustable 3.5 mm headphone jack.

As a dynamic microphone, the Podcaster is very insensitive, which allows you to work very well even in rooms with ambient noise (traffic, neighbors etc.). However, the podcaster should be talked to close up, i.e. with no more than two centimeters distance.

The podcaster comes with a tripod clamp (RM2) and a USB cable (3 m). It is manufactured by RØDE in Australia, registered users get a 10 year warranty.
