Dynamic Podcast Microphone

The PodMic has been developed especially for voice recordings with RØDECaster Pro (in the menu of RØDECaster Pro you will already find an optimally fitting preset which can be selected in a flash). Thanks to its standard three-pin XLR connector it is also ideal for use in radio, radio play and dubbing studios.

The heavy speaker microphone (937 g) has a professional dynamic cardioid capsule and its own swivel mount, which allows it to be mounted on a table stand (DS1) or swivel arm (PSA1) and then conveniently oriented towards the speaker. The microphone capsule itself is elastically suspended and the swivel mount is internally decoupled from the body, so that there are no problems with structure-borne noise, e.g. transmitted from the desk. The Procaster is discussed from the front, a distance of about 3 to 8 cm is optimal.

As a dynamic microphone, the PodMic is much less sensitive than a condenser microphone, making it ideal for studios and speaker rooms that have to deal with ambient noise and/or unfavorable room acoustics. The PodMic's sound and its frequency response of 50 Hz - 13 kHz is perfectly tuned for speech transmission: rich in detail, full, silky, balanced and always pleasant to listen to.

The double-layer stainless steel speech basket and a fabric mesh over the capsule effectively defuse explosive consonants and sibilants without compromising transparency - an external pop filter is not required. The PodMic's housing is made of solid brass and covered with a scratch-resistant ceramic coating, which is why it still looks stylish even after years of use.
