Dynamic Speaker Microphone

The "Procaster" has been specially developed for use in professional radio and dubbing studios. The robust and heavy speaker microphone (745 g) uses a horizontally mounted and elastically suspended dynamic cardioid capsule. The Procaster is discussed from the front, a distance of approx. 3 to 8 cm is optimal.

Frequency response and sound characteristics have been perfectly tuned for speech transmission. The double-layered tuning basket and a fabric fabric over the capsule effectively defuse explosive consonants without impairing transparency - the use of a pop filter is not necessary. As a dynamic microphone, the Procaster is much less sensitive than a condenser microphone, making it ideal for studios and talkback rooms that have to deal with ambient noise and/or unfavorable room acoustics.

The Procaster comes with a stand clamp (RM2) and transport case (ZP1). It is manufactured by RØDE in Australia and registered users have a 10-year warranty.
