When we launched the Phonitor in 2008, the first 120-volt headphone monitoring amplifier on the market, the professional audio world seemed to have been waiting for it. The success of this unique headphone amplifier was overwhelming, but in retrospect we almost wondered ourselves that no one before us had combined basic listening, speaker simulation and a headphone amplifier. Since then, we have called this new genre headphone monitoring amp, which is what the product name Phonitor is made of. Interestingly enough, the Phonitor not only found its way to many thousands of professional users - it also found an equally large fan community in the hi-fi sector.
