The GoldMike MK2 combines a Class A transistor with tube amplifier technology. The transistor stage is designed in discrete single transistors in Class A technology and works in series with a tube preamplifier that can add three amplification stages - from low to high saturation. The preamplifier concept, which combines transistor and tube preamplifier stages to take advantage of both techniques, has played a decisive role in the success of the GoldMike.
Discrete Class A transistor stage
Tube preamplification in three switchable controls
Two-stage switchable FLAIR circuit for presence intensification
48-volt phantom power
VU displays with dual display range switching
Instrument input on front panel, separate microphone and line inputs on rear panel
All switching functions are carried out via encapsulated relays with gold-plated contacts
