A drum kit for BFD3 from EpiK DrumS – A Ken Scott Collection, recorded in the style of Ringo Starr and The Beatles.

With tea towels over the toms and snare, the kit has a deadened vintage character similar to the drums on Magical Mystery Tour and The White Album, both of which Ken Scott helped record with The Beatles. The kit is an Oyster Pearl Ludwig Downbeat, just like the one Ringo used with The Beatles, recorded with classic tube mics and a vintage analogue signal path using the same techniques Ken Scott used in the 60s on classics such as Hey Jude and I Am The Walrus. The British engineer and producer started out as a tape op at Abbey Road Studios and went on to record David Bowie, Elton John and Supertramp among many others.
