A MIDI plug-in for playing chord changes through virtual instruments in real time, with fluid voicing and dynamic phrasing for songwriting and beatmaking.

ChordAXE lets you steer through harmony on the playable Mesh, which arranges chords and key centres in their natural order based on the circle of fifths, so you can trace progressions as shapes instead of working note by note – music theory optional. You shape voicings by ear for any instrument by shifting the register, opening or tightening note spacings, flipping inversions and playing in any key without pitch shifting. Chord changes are driven by a keyboard, the DAW piano roll and rhythmic pattern presets merging in real time, turning solid or broken chords into song structures, beat foundations, melodies, riffs and basslines. Presets of iconic progressions help you decode their structure and rework it in other keys with your own voicing and phrasing.
