Merging Anubis Pro SPS
Anubis Pro SPS – High-End Network-Based Converter
Merging Technologies, previously known for Pyramix and its high-end converters Hapi and Horus, is now shipping the Anubis – the magic box for studio and stage.
Many mastering engineers and sound professionals have trusted its uncompromising resolution and renowned Swiss quality for years – now with a newly affordable entry into this league!
The wealth of functionality in this compact housing replaces many separate solutions – or enables completely new possibilities thanks to its network capabilities.
Anubis offers 4 inputs – 2 of which can be used with a neutral, high-quality microphone preamp. It serves as a monitor controller with 8 outputs – 2 stereo outs for high-end headphone amplification and 2 stereo outs for speaker connections or routing into an analog gear chain.
Using the touchscreen, you can create headphone mixes, operate the low latency network mixer, and control DSP-powered features like the built-in equalizer – all with plenty of power under the hood.
Unique!
A single product with multiple workflows. A monitor controller that also manages your network. A music recording hub capable of networking a full band or orchestra. A low-latency mixer and processor with exceptional audio quality. More features than you’d expect – Swiss-made. Would you expect anything less from Merging?
Evolving Missions
From the first recording to the final master, certain “missions” require precision and control. If your mission today is to create a great mix, you need full control over your monitoring: reference monitors, nearfields, headphones, sources, surround mix, downmix, etc. Anubis gives you this “mission control” in a single, compact device with unmatched functionality defined by the software application. But that’s just one mission. With MERGING + ANUBIS, users can select the Mission Controller app that fits the task. Today, Anubis introduces its first mission –
ANUBIS + MONITOR.
Modular by Software
What you buy today can do even more tomorrow. Anubis is already designed to perform two missions, with more to follow. Each one gives you control over the tasks you need to complete. Today it’s a control room or mobile monitor controller, tomorrow a music studio or live event interface – and the next day, something entirely different to help you fulfill your mission. Booting between missions changes the user interface and function of Anubis entirely. Plug-ins are unlocked to support the required workflow. Your investment is protected, your missions secured!
Network Control
Anubis not only delivers outstanding features out of the box, but also expands its capabilities to other RAVENNA / AES67 devices in the network. From stereo to 22.2 monitoring, from a four-piece rock band to a full symphony orchestra – Anubis gives you control over any situation. Whether you're one meter or several kilometers from your equipment, you can take command via its integrated web server directly from the touchscreen, tablet, or computer.
Massive Scalability
Your Anubis may appear small, but it’s built to be a giant... Just a tap on the touchscreen gives you access and control over the inputs and outputs of any other Merging device in the network. We also offer the same capability for any compatible AES67 device. This expands your setup into something massive. By “pairing” these other devices, Anubis can extend I/O as if it were integrated. Anubis can reserve all or part of these paired devices, make them available to other users on the network, and/or secure them for your own recording needs. With its internal DSP, Anubis can manage up to 256x256 signal paths. Astonishing power!
Network Integration
If you need a larger or more complex RAVENNA / AES67 network setup involving third-party devices, DAWs, consoles, or simply multiple Anubis units, Anubis integrates seamlessly into existing ANEMAN-controlled ecosystems. ANEMAN unlocks the massive potential of a large network with an intuitive and powerful user interface.
Broadcast Compliance
IP broadcast is today’s reality. Anubis has been designed from the ground up to be ST2110 compliant. Some broadcasters still rely on ST2022 – no problem for Anubis. Merging’s long-standing experience in IP Showcase events and its membership in the AIMS Alliance ensures that we stay current with developments in connectivity, discovery, and control for broadcast. Mission secured!
Networked Audio Monitoring
Anubis not only monitors multiple inputs but also directly monitors all RAVENNA / AES67 streams in the network. In a fast-paced industry moving toward networked audio, Anubis is the perfect investment to monitor both traditional audio sources and network audio streams... with the same user experience: no complex admin tools required. Simply browse a coherent list and select sources like any other input.
Merging Quality
This ultra-mobile and elegant unibody design delivers amazing A/D performance with a dynamic range of 139 dB and equally impressive mic preamps. Our pristine D/A technology ensures you hear exactly what your project deserves. Anubis comes in two variants: Anubis Pro delivers extraordinary performance up to 192 kHz. If your mission demands higher resolution, Anubis Premium offers up to 384 kHz and DXD plus DSD variants up to 256. What else would you expect from Merging?
Ultimate Sound Quality
Killer headphone amp! Merging has gone the extra mile to develop its best headphone amplifier ever, delivering the precision you need to assess your mix at any sample rate.
Anubis is equipped with next-generation converter technology and backed by 28 years of reference-grade audio development. A 32-bit signal path from input to output via the mixer, combined with the latest circuit design, shortens the audio path to reduce latency and improve power efficiency. Phenomenal performance at any sample rate!
Dual-Gain 32-bit A/D Circuit
This provides not only great dynamic range and ample headroom but also lets you independently control gain for different circuits with click-free steps. It also supports software add-ons. Creative innovation!
Input Channel Splitting
Each input has its own split-gain control, allowing it to be sent to different paths – typically one for the recorder and one for FOH.
Exceptional Mechanics
Anubis is not just a bent piece of metal with a few knobs. It may be a small desktop unit, but it’s beautifully crafted from a single block of aluminum. Inside is a marvel of engineering developed under the guidance of the miniature masters at Sonosax.
Swiss engineering at its finest!
Backpack Portability
Anubis is designed to go wherever you go. With its rugged build and included carrying case, weighing just 950 g and measuring 200 x 128 x 40 mm, it fits perfectly in a backpack. It sits easily on your desk or can be mounted on a mic stand.
Outstanding Specifications
Merging has a reputation for getting audio quality right, backed by years of experience. It would be surprising if Anubis delivered anything less than the best we can achieve. Great sound is just part of the story. Just take a look at the performance measurements.
