A plug-in that evens out tonal imbalances, resonant peaks and dips as well as comb filter effects in recordings.

DeFilter automatically estimates a correction filter that evens out the frequency spectrum of a recording, so that even severe problems such as comb filter effects or standing waves from untreated rooms can be addressed. You can match recordings to target profiles for music or speech, or let DeFilter extract the overall timbre of the source and even out only narrow peaks and dips; a reference recording can also serve as the target. Custom curves define frequency-dependent correction levels, and real-time spectrum analysers for input and output visualise the effect.
