A virtual drum machine with ten classic electronic drum kits and a built-in sequencer, with a slick modern interface that pays homage to the most popular vintage drum machines.

AIR originally created Boom as part of the Creative Collection of instrument plug-ins included with Avid Pro Tools, and since its launch it has been used on hit albums, feature films and radio projects. The ten kits offer variations on the classic 808 and 909, more aggressive Dance and Urban-style kits and a retro kit modelled on the concept of a CR78 merged with a 606. Each kit contains ten drums whose panning, volume, tuning and decay you can adjust individually, and a special tuning screw on each drum channel provides an additional sonic adjustment. Drums from different kits can be combined into custom kits, and the on-board sequencer with swing control and normal, double, half or triplet-time playback saves your patterns as presets.
