Liverpool is a one-of-a-kind compressor plug-in that fuses the rich mid-range smoothing of an Altec 436C, the fast transient-gripping attack of a Fairchild 670 and the unique Hold recovery of an RS124.

Like its vintage predecessors, Liverpool handles high gain reduction without introducing unwanted artefacts, pumping or unpleasant distortion, and its sweet, round and warm processing is ideal for healing damaged or poorly recorded mid-range instruments and vocals, enriching the midrange and thickening the low end. You can add grit and character without any dynamic processing by bypassing compression with the C setting and driving the input, or dial in heavy compression for lush smoothing and fat rounding. It is based on the Liverpool by Seattle-based Grove Hill Audio, a re-creation of the original 436C circuit with some of the most desirable mods; Antelope Audio analysed one unit component by component and recreated it digitally using the original hardware blueprints.
