VEQ-STU 169 is a simple yet powerful inductor-based three-band EQ that delivers high-end smoothness and headroom with clean, precise lows.

Designed for broad tone shaping, the original is still used in studios ranging from vintage analogue to high-end digital facilities. The low band shelves at 60 Hz, the bell-mode mid band is sweepable between 150 Hz and 7 kHz, and the high shelf sits at 10 kHz. Like VEQ-STU 089, it is modelled on the EQ sections of fine Swiss mixing desks from the late 1970s to the early 1980s, which earned their place with a transparent, only gently coloured analogue sound.
