Kristian Kohle found a swimming pool that had been rotting for years and captured its complex, natural reverb with his favourite microphones: the huge pool hall produced long, diffuse tails, while its locker rooms delivered short, hard slaps. Rotten Pool Verb combines both reverb sections, with six long reverbs in FAR or CLOSE, each BRIGHT, MID or DARK, plus the RAW and SMOKED short rooms, whose amount you set with MEAT. ROT saturation with an A/B switch, low and high cut filters before or after the reverb, and predelay, decay, mix and output controls shape the sound.
