TAIP brings the sound and behaviour of analogue tape into your DAW, adding organic saturation and life to sterile drums, instruments and vocals.

Sonically, TAIP emulates a 1971 European tape machine – not with traditional DSP modelling, but with neural networks that learned the machine’s defining characteristics from dry and processed audio. On top of that, the plug-in offers sound design parameters that go beyond plain tape: Glue exaggerates the compression typical of tape, Wear recreates the instabilities of a worn-out machine, and Dual mode runs two tape machines in series. The 135 presets include contributions from Mark Needham, Max Jaeger, Rob Kleiner and Cesar Sogbe.
