An emulation of the MagicDeathEye stereo tube compressor with built-in equalizer, designed especially for the mastering and mix bus.

MagicDeathEyeStereo is the second collaboration between DDMF and Ian Sefchick, recreating his vari-mu tube compressor for mastering and bus duties, whose compression curve is noticeably more gentle than that of the mono model. Its inductor-based EQ, with two boost-only bands offering two frequencies each and a two-frequency low cut, sits not before or after the compression but within the tube gain structure. Going beyond the hardware, the high-frequency EQ can be applied to the full stereo signal, the mid or the side only, an optional elliptical filter on the side signal helps when mastering for vinyl, and the amount of harmonic distortion can be set from 0 to 100 percent, with 50 percent matching the hardware unit.
