DSpatial DUY DaD Tape - Download
The first-ever digital simulator of analogue tape sound for digital workstations, with four modelled tape machines, noise reduction systems and switchable tape speed.
DaD Tape brings the warm sound of analogue tape machines into digital production, with control options that conventional tape recorders do not offer. Four representative machines are modelled: an old vintage machine with valve circuitry, a transistor-based machine from the late 1960s, an op-amp-based machine from the 1970s and a latest-generation machine. Add to that the three most common noise reduction systems, a proprietary noiseless tape mode and tape speeds of 7.5, 15 and 30 ips, which can also be combined with the machines in unusual ways. You set the operating level yourself, and input and output each have their own slider and meter.
