A virtual instrument offering everything you need to make modern cinematic music inspired by ancient sounds, drawn from rare instruments and techniques from around the world.

At its heart is the collection of one-of-a-kind instruments that Mntra founder Brian D’Oliveira (Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Resident Evil VII: Biohazard) assembled on his travels, from aleatoric flute swarms and bombastic drums to bowed metal textures and extended Baroque cello harmonics. Recorded at the RCA Victor studio in Montreal with a focus on alternative extended techniques, the sounds evolve even as you hold down a single note. The MNDALA 2 engine can turn a quena flute into a speaker-rattling industrial drone or treble gamba strings into an otherworldly ambient pad. 89 presets and the animated Perform View with three-axis real-time parameter controls, whose XYZ macros you can map to your MIDI controller, make these complex sounds easy to play.
