A virtual instrument that combines the crystalline sound of pyramids made from pure quartz with modern sound design, from gentle ambiences to electroacoustic soundscapes.

Made from pure quartz with ratios inspired by the Great Pyramids of Egypt, the instruments produce transparent tones that can be shaped through movement, rhythmic beating and other vibrating sources, and spinning them creates an acoustic vibrato. Recorded in reverberant and dead rooms from inside and outside perspectives, ultrasonic sampling and stretched E.R.A. (Extended Range Audio) samples open up an extended octave range, hidden frequencies and massive polyphonic versions in MNDALA 2 that would be impossible to build or play physically. Sample Start Modulation (SSM) scans the start point through the sample via velocity or random modulation, allowing infinite variations. With various sizes, different mallets (acrylic, suede, nails) and resonant jingles, Pyramids suits sound healing, experimental ambient music and sound design.
