A generative MIDI instrument that turns a planetary system into music, transforming orbital motion into evolving melodies, hypnotic arpeggios and complex polyrhythms.

In Spira, up to 48 planets orbit a central star and trigger notes as they cross up to eight interactive beams. With 34 scales and chord sets, six chord progressions and functions such as LOCKSTEP, WARP, GRAVITY, MOMENTUM, SPARK and HAZE, you build evolving sequences: switch off LOCKSTEP for constantly drifting patterns, or hit SUPERNOVA to generate a completely new musical universe instantly. You control the notes with SCALE MAP, HELD KEYS or KEY SHIFT, hear them through the built-in sound engine with four timbres, reverb and tempo-synced delay, or send them via MIDI output to your synths and samplers to record the results and edit them in your DAW.
