Princess Koto KAGUYA from Premier Sound Factory’s SAMURAI Classics series brings the traditional Japanese koto to your productions in super high-resolution 96 kHz/24-bit recordings.

Captured with the same super high-resolution techniques used for Drum Tree and Shakuhachi Premier, KAGUYA includes a classic 13-string koto (B1 to A4, extended to G5 in Expand mode) and a contemporary 17-string bass koto (C1 to E3), similar in role to a cello. You select 16 playing styles such as release trigger, pizzicato, harmonics, bends, tremolo and effects via the articulation panel or key switches, complemented by 214 audio phrases such as glissandi. 36 traditional Japanese scales can be assigned to the white keys and up to 20 custom scales saved, and because the 13-string koto was recorded in authentic koto scales, the resonance of the other strings rings out naturally. Independently adjustable stereo and centre microphones, a low cut and five convolution reverbs with impulse responses recorded in a traditional Japanese Noh theatre round off the NKS-ready library.
