A fully featured, high-precision compressor for whole mixes, buses and single tracks, with the character of valve, opto and modern compressors.

PSP Impressor emulates the classic characteristics of compressors with valve and opto-electronic circuits as well as modern compressors. Its highly configurable sidechain filter has a significant effect on sound and operation: depending on the settings, the compressor can also act as a de-esser or reduce the pumping caused by heavy kick drums. Feedback and feedback plus feedforward modes, peak or RMS detection, four auto attack and four auto release modes and an output algorithm working as brick-wall limiter or soft saturation provide plenty of flexibility. Combined with PSP Saturator, it imparts a cohesive sound reminiscent of expensive analogue hardware.
