A keyboard suite for professional keyboardists and composers, combining a handcrafted 10-foot Fazioli grand piano recorded in surround with 11 mic channels and a collection of restored vintage electric pianos and organs for Native Instruments Kontakt.

The Fazioli was recorded at CounterPoint Studios in Salt Lake City, a studio designed by Studio Bau:ton, with mics over the hammers and under the piano, two matched pairs of Earthworks room mics and an ORTF side configuration, and is presented in stereo and surround, with the mic mix adjustable from the dashboard. The vintage keyboards, Rhodes and Wurlitzer, Vox Continental, Farfisa, Clavinet D6 and Hammond A100, were restored by Ken Rich and played by Arlan Oscar Schierbaum at a private studio in Topanga Canyon. Everything was recorded at 192 kHz/24-bit into a Pro Tools HD system and is delivered as around 8,000 samples at 24-bit/44 kHz, about 40 GB, programmed for maximum expressivity down to the softest playing. Velocity curve, filter, ADSR, several reverbs, mic levels with panning and tone control are all within quick reach, and NKS support lets you control the parameters in real time with Komplete Kontrol.
