Reason 14 is the DAW built around the modular Rack, where you freely combine instruments, effects and Player MIDI effects – as a standalone DAW or as a plug-in in your DAW.

In the Rack, modelled on classic rackmount hardware, you wire up 68 devices – synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, effects, Players and utilities – to get exactly the sound you are looking for. Reason 14 puts your tracks at the centre: signal chain, levels and sends sit directly in the sequencer in the new Track Panel, joined by Track Folders, loopable audio, MIDI and automation clips, MIDI note chase, automatic tempo detection on import and the new RV-9 Reverb Station with nine algorithms. The mixer is modelled on the SSL 9000k analogue console, Comp Edit, Slice Edit and Vocal Edit help you edit recordings, and every sampler can record live. A sound library with more than 30,000 patches, loops and samples and support for third-party plug-ins in the Rack complete the package.
