A groove instrument combining sample slicer, bassline synth, drum machine and effect sequencer, ideal for sketching tracks quickly in the studio and on the road.

Egoist chops samples or entire songs into up to 16 slices, each rearranged with its own pitch, direction, attack, decay and volume; alongside the 760 MB factory library, it loads your own WAV, AIFF and MP3 files. It adds a bass synth with saw or pulse waveforms for classic basslines in the style of the TB303 or SH101, and a drum module with more than 1,000 kick, snare and hi-hat samples in 15 kits. Seven effects (reverb, chorus, delay, filter, lo-fi, tape stop and looper) can be applied per step to the slicer, beat and bass. All sequencers run polyrhythmically with independent clock dividers, and patterns can be chained into songs or triggered from the DAW via MIDI keys.
