The Core 47 is a DSP-controlled monitor with three ways for near to medium monitoring distances. Dynaudio's own soft-dome tweeters and MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) midrange and bass drivers are used. Both trademarks of Dynaudio, which have found many fans over the years because they produce a very accurate stereo image.

The integrated digital signal processor allows sound adjustment that goes far beyond that of conventional analog circuits. The entire spectrum can be tilted more towards treble or bass (Bright/Dark) or played back linearly via a tilt filter. Two times three presets are also responsible for adjusting the sound to different positions in the room (Free/Wall/Corner) and workstations (Anechoic/Desk/Soffit).
