Active 3-Way Main Monitor (vertical)

The ADAM Audio S5V is the vertical main monitor of the S Series, designed for medium-sized and large control rooms. It combines the power reserves of a large reference speaker with the resolution and precision the S Series is known for.

The bass is handled by a 12" woofer built with ELE (Extended Linear Excursion) and SMA (Symmetrical Magnet Assembly) technology. The 4" DCH midrange driver, a hybrid of dome and cone, reproduces the mids with great accuracy. The S-ART tweeter, handmade in Berlin, delivers clear highs and a finely resolved stereo image. MPS and HPS waveguides milled from solid aluminium ensure even dispersion, so several people can work side by side in the sweet spot.

The S Series DSP board contains the crossover, two shelving filters, six fully parametric equalizers and five preset memories for room adaptation. AES3 digital inputs, a USB port for software updates and control, and limiters protecting the tweeter amplifier are on board. Three PWM power amplifiers with 700, 300 and 100 watts drive the three ways.
