Active 21.5" Subwoofer

With the Sub2100, ADAM Audio has built a subwoofer of a special kind for large control rooms and film studios. A 21.5" (543 mm) paper-cone woofer with a 150 mm voice coil, the largest in the world, sits in a bass reflex cabinet tuned down to 18 Hz.

The PWM amplifier delivers 1000 watts RMS or 1200 watts music power. Together with an efficiency of 99 dB/W/m, the Sub2100 reaches peak levels of at least 128 dB at one metre without the deep bass losing definition. The upper crossover frequency is adjustable between 50 and 150 Hz so the subwoofer blends cleanly with main and midfield monitors.
