Easy Operation

The BAE 312A features an intuitive design with easy-to-use controls. A large, rugged dial adjusts the gain, providing an impressive 66 dB of amplification. The mic/instrument switch lets you toggle between the microphone input and the high-impedance line-level input on the front panel, making it perfect for direct instrument recordings. The pad switch reduces input gain for particularly loud instruments such as heavy-hitting drummers or cranked guitar amps. The phase reverse switch inverts the phase of a signal—perfect for snare bottom mics! The 48 V switch provides phantom power for condenser microphones.

Quality Construction

The BAE 312A comes with an external power supply featuring a cable of about four feet in length, allowing flexible placement in any studio. BAE’s custom-built power supplies deliver four times the current required by the preamps, ensuring optimal sound quality. On the back, easily accessible XLR inputs and outputs allow you to connect microphones and other devices. On the front, a high-quality instrument input is available for guitars and synthesizers. Even the switches on the BAE 312A are high-quality, featuring gold contacts to ensure lifetime durability.
