An expansion for BFD3 with hard-hitting drums for metal, hard rock, punk and other heavy or aggressive music, recorded in the live room of Middle Farm Studios.

Middle Farm Studios in South Devon, England, is known for a live room whose pitched ceiling and stone walls give drums a distinct, roomy punch. For BFD Dark Farm, the engineers used the studio’s microphones, outboard gear and Trident Series 70 console and recorded three kits together with producer and studio owner Peter Miles, including an all-copper Q Drum Co. kit whose punchy, controlled tone cuts through dense walls of distorted guitars. Eleven cymbals and additional snare and kick drums complete more than 30 fully articulated, multi-sampled instruments, joined by 287 grooves for metal, rock, alternative, doom and prog.
