The third generation of BFD’s flagship software acoustic drum studio, with new kits, mix-ready presets and modelling of tom resonance and cymbal swells for realistic acoustic drums.

BFD3 combines highly detailed drum recordings with intelligent modelling: tom resonance and bleed respond to the tuning and combination of drums and glue the kit together naturally, while a swell-modelling algorithm delivers more realistic cymbal washes. In the Drum Editor you can tune and dampen every drum, create custom mic perspectives and adjust the levels of individual mics. The internal mixer offers DCAM-modelled compression, filtering, EQ, algorithmic reverbs and effects from AIR Music Tech, and channels can be routed to discrete outputs or exported as multi-channel audio direct to disk. The Groove section adds session drummer performances, pattern editing and rudiments for painting your own realistic parts.
